Dingbat question - is there any value in acquiring this except for the title?

I'll probably go check it out. I live about 15 minutes from this car-b-q wreck. It will still have some good parts left. Iirc it has arb front and rear. As per usual it will probably get bid up to crazy $.

Probably. He was subscribed to his old for sale thread, so maybe he'll answer.

The engine and hood appear to be just fine, so I'm wondering if maybe he had a bad electrical short or maybe a faulty aux heater inside the cabin - which appears to have sustained the worst of it.

It would more than likely be sold on a CA Salvage Certificate as opposed to a clear title.

Per the owners response on the other thread, looks like someone torched this thing in the middle of the night. What a wicked pisser, to use the parlance of those from Boston.

Probably a pissed off environmentalist.... He just did not realize that torching a car will do far more environmental harm than driving the 90 for another 200K miles

Ha, the majority of the tree huggers here in SF drive Range Rovers. I don't think it was one of them
