I figure John Mayer is on this page all the time - It is a good bet - especially if he now has 2 D-90s. I think he reads all we write on him and just smiles. I think there is even a good chance that he posts under another name when he has questions. Who would know.

Bottom line - we all love the trucks - we don't care if one is famous or not - this page is all about loving the D90.

I am glad to hear from Keith that he is a nice guy.........Really cool. John if you ever read this - I love your music, and I love your taste in Trucks!

He is "Gonna go explore ghost towns in Arizona... And camp on the roof."
That's what his blog says, then it has a bunch of pics of RTT's on Rovers.

ummm. I just happened to walk by my girlfriend when she just happen to be on that site you mentioned. What are the chances of that happening? Blame it on the girlfriend, that's my MO. Yeah right!
Mayer is a great musician! And has great taste in rides.

Jimmy nice find on the pics. I must be the only one that opened them to have a look. Nice "bonus" that use to happen to me all the time when I was driving my D90 SW!

Justin Timberlake being driven around in a Merc/BMW/Nameless car = lame.

John Mayer driving a Defender 90 with winch, ARB and skidplates = freakin' awesome.

Besides great taste in rides & after a bit of browsing his blog he sounds like someone I'd enjoy chatting with around a campfire after a long day of wheeling.

Perhaps it will. Some have noted the panty effect. Just make sure you change your wipers often.

Is it a surprise that celebrities take the "cash and carry" approach to truck ownership from a premium dealer?

I have started collecting a bunch of his stuff from i-tunes for the last month or so. He does a fantastic version of Message in a Bottle. Great music to open a bottle of wine to and throw steaks on the grill. Oh, gets the wife a bit warmed up as well

Jeff,

I'm forced to "daddy lets watch Cars" take a nap while pressing play on the DVD remote for my toddler that knows the entire script for the movie by heart. She is cute. As a family, we have watched cars a million times. My toddler is afraid of the tractor tipping scence in the movie and always finds a way to wake me up from my nap "daddy are you sleeping during Cars" as the scene begins. I didn't know he had anything to do with the Route 66 song either.

I do know that whenever I am in the super market early in the morning I often hear John signing "Waiting On The World To Change"- which is a very catchy tune.

+1 on that

Must have seen Cars about 100 times by now... the 4 year old can't get enough and we have a floor full of the toy cars as well. Luckily he hasn't hassled me (yet) when I sleep through it.

My parents bought our five year old Richard Scarry's book "Cars and Trucks and Things That Go"

He can pick out all the Land Rovers in the book. There's a 109 Wagon and an MOD ambulance. I've passed my Land Rover illness to my son.

Speaking of passing it on, yesterday I picked our 4 yr old son up from pre-school in the 90. As I was strapping him in, one of the little girls in his class came out with her mom and said "I like your Jeep". My son yelled (in a mean tone) "it's not a Jeep it's a Land Rover". I made him apologize, but was quite proud

I think it must be hereditary. My friend, who bought Doug's black 90 and shipped it to AK, has a son who is a huge fan. I hear all the time about how "jeeps are no good" from this little 8 year old (he knows there's a Jeep in my driveway next to Humpty Dumpty).

Then again, because he's 8, I also hear that Range Rovers aren't as good as "land rovers or defenders" and "Jeeps just stole Land Rovers"...

I tried telling him he could take the top down on the Jeep and the doors off and go for a ride this summer w/ his Dad - see if it was fun at all. "No, Jeeps just aren't any good."

If he wasn't the coolest 8yo I knew, I'd say he was not making sense. But his LR training (brainwashing) was started at birth.

Does he know that the first Land Rover was based on a Jeep?
