Personally, I hate it when people stop to talk about the Defender. Of course just as many people stopped to talk about our JK as well....

Odd, I hated the one I drove for a week. Felt cheap and contrived. Not to mention my LR3 has a better turning radius (not to mention actual towing capacity).

What I think would be interesting is the price point. The suburban mandated mid life crisis 4dr keep doesn't come cheap, this one will demand prices akin to virgin NAS trucks coming out if an ECR refresh I am guessing-and likely still feel like being in a dumpster driving around. To each their own.

What is irritating is that regardless if it's the wrangler or the new Defender, if your in the middle of the jungle or Sahara, if the DEF runs out, you're going to have to piss in the tank or abandon the vehicle. And it's likely pissing in the tank won't clear the fault code.

You really don't want to compare a Defender to your LR3 then...

Wow...really...someone in Africa is going to buy this thing?

IMHO this thing rates right up there with the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Black Ops Edition Wrangler.

Looks perfect for daydreaming in rush hour traffic that you're on safari with Toto on the radio and a Frappuccino in the cupholder. Clearly Jeep does know what Defender owners in America really want.

These Wranglers and the new Defender are going to be sold EVERYWHERE! remember that Land Rover wants to increase production..a reason for a redesign.

There are JK serving in the Israel military with diesel engines.

I don't know. From what I can see, the departure angle seemed to be pretty much straight down! ;-)
