Jeep wins Extreme 4X4 class over Defender

Not sure if anyone posted this yet:

If Chrysler would sell the diesel model here, I might consider buying a Jeep.

I occasionally wheel locally with the guys from Rock Krawler suspensions, they built a 4 door Rubi with a Hemi along with one of their long arm suspension kits.

Here's a shot of it in Moab.

I recently drove one of these for a week as a rental while traveling. I though it would drive great but I was amazed how good the defender felt in comparsion. The new stock Jeep (4door) rubicon <15,000mi. was less stable than my 110 lifted with an ambulance body. Made me fee good about all the time I have sunk in to steering perfection.

Not that I would ever dream of turning but it was more evidence to me that there is just no comparison. Sure it is newer and a Hemi would be tits...but it is not a rover...nuff said.
