They are at Moab now. It looks like they had poor to no cell signal for most of the trip. This is a serious flaw in the phone side tracking software. I'll have to write my own to store the coordinates every minute and push them when it gets a signal. Right now if there is no cell signal, we don't get updates

Thanks - I really like old Alfas, this one is an unrestored euro spec (twin webber) car with 60k on it. Non-Rover I know...

Anyway, I've not been tracking the trip much here since my wife had our first baby yesterday! Now that we have a baby, I sure could use a 110, know anybody with one for sale? That was a joke. Take care guys!

Congratulations! I miss our old GTV and have often thought of getting another someday.

Looks like they are on the move again - on I70 heading west towards denver, picking up a cell signal as they pass through major towns.

I'm hoping they will have decent internet connection on their next stop so we can get an update and pictures. I heard from Mike the night they hit Moab, and I think didn't have power so couldn't upload pictures or give much of a status report then.

It was great to "meet" Janey in Moab. We didn't get the chance to do any trails with them, but sure good to see her on the road.

Met up with Mike, Bob, and Janey in Moab. Good to see them. Lots of spares inside and on top.

I think they wheeled Janey on 7 Mile Rim and they rode with us Oklahoma guys the rest of the rally.

On my way back from Moab I realized I didn't take any pictures of Janey. I will check with the other guys and see if they have any.

Sucks to be us

They are trucking along through Iowa. I wonder if the thought crossed their minds to head a little south and make the MAR?

I asked Mike about MAR. He said it would take them too far off course.

Looks like they made it across I 70 in Colorado on schedule. That had to be a test!

Since we met Mike, Ron And Janey over new years we where of course pleased to see Mike His Dad and Jany at the rally (huge laugh!)
A number of us so much enjoyed Moab over the New Years Holiday we will start doing this regularly!
It wouldn't be the without seeing at the least Janey out there at least annually..

Any plans Ron?

Just FYI, Mike has put some pictures on the site and added a few points of interest on the map.
