What I find scary is that the 50th includling the event out at Greek Peaks seems like yesterday. In some ways.

haha! That might have a lot to do with it... LOL

All seriousness though, this is obviously not LR's publication but it goes to show that the public's perception of Land Rover and Range Rover is that they are two different companies. And I think JLR is just going to keep riding the trend so they can move RR upmarket and possibly even a uber luxo brand like a Toyota/Lexus. Which is weird since LR is still trying to capitalize on the "heritage" of the brand... someone in their Marketing and PR is very confused! LOL

only in the US is Lexus considered a luxury brand ... in the rest of the world a Lexus is something you buy when you are down on your luck and can't afford a Merc or BMW.

Don't you feel sorry for the poor Lexus owner who paid good dosh thinking they buy a luxury brand,

Looks like the new Rav4 is a Lexus in drag?

That came out wrong... didn't mean to imply that Lexus is an uber luxo brand. Just comparing how I perceive JLR is branding LR lately as the "base" and RR a whole other entity but at the same time wanting to tap on the heritage of the brand.

I think LR made a couple of not thoroughly thought out decisions over time having gone through different ownership. Even the naming convention that they adopted to here in the US sucks. LR2, LR3 then came the LR4 but now with the next gen LR2, they have nowhere to go! LOL
