LOL hey you can't even drive yours right now can you? And I am now having some T-case issues, I just drained it, and sludge came out, so I pulled the inspection plate off and hosed out the sloppy grey muck with break cleaner. It is making a whining noise when I match the engine speed to the vehical speed (not coasting and not accelerating) it never did this before. Hope it's OK!

Lessen to everyone, DON'T park your Defender in muddy water for prolonged periods of time!

Hey Mike,You know mine had a awful smell and was whining real bad, as you followed me back from western mass and you could smell and hear it at 70mph Rob (roadsiderob) ended up with mine ,he told me he took it apart and couldn't see anything wrong with it,so maybe he might be able to enlighten you as to the problem

I can drive it, just not sure about *using* it. If I keep the diff oil topped up and keep moving I'm sure I'll be ok

Jimmy I remember, it smells the same but it doesn't whine as loud yet and the smell is mostly gone now that I have cleaned it. But the neighbors down wind of me all closed their windows

Scott, I have a few things to tidy up before I go out on the trail, maybe after this weekend.
