Yes, you can order the premier issue from overlandjournal.com (scroll down) or expeditionexchange.com

If you subscribe for two years, type in the comments block D-90 source and we will send you a sticker too (non-charter).

Thanks for the support

The tires that were on Grendel are P78x16. A good 33 inches tall, and as far as I'm concerned way too big for stock Series axles. I'll be swapping them for 235/85/16 MTs soon, then save for the GBR rear axle/ARB kit.

They may be too big, but I think it is a great looking set up. I want a Grendel

Has anyone received issue number 2 yet? What about our free gear? I haven't seen anything.
I emailed and got no reply. I wonder what happened.

Shawn,

I apologize for the reply taking longer than expected. I am often traveling (I just spent a few weeks on the Rubicon with some "unique" Jeeps).

Please direct any customer service inquiries to: service (at) overlandjournal.com They will get right back with you.

Thanks so much for the support!

I heard back from customer service. They said I should have gotten mine, and they are sending another out. BTW, the hat and decal are only for those who signed up for the 2 year subscription

Apparently I thought I signed up for 2 years, come to find out I signed up for some sort of "1 year overseas subscription" for $60. They are sending me the hat and sticker to make up for the $15 overpayment. I must have missed the US part on the subscription site.

Overland Journal: Winter 2010 Issue

Overland Journal has completed our winter 2010 edition, which ships in the next 7-10 days. This issue includes stories from the Canol Road expedition and a fantastic trip through the Michigan UP. We also complete the most comprehensive sleeping bag test in the history of print, which includes some compelling results and testing methods to show heat retention and leaking. We test nine bags in total.

Here are a few pages.

Sofie takes a Lada across the Silk Road

Sleeping bags for adventure motorcycling and 4wds

The Canol Road Expedition

Brian Dearmon starts his F800 GS project

Note: This issue will be available to current (as of this past Monday) subscribers and as a back issue in our store.
