I think Walking Dead should be reclassified as an educational TV series. This has been a great year for Doomsday advocates.

I'm glad there's no land bridge between us and Asia. that's a lot of zombies!

Am I happy I live in the US currently... guns enough. Compared to Belgium where you go to jail for owning a gun.

I think in the states you go to jail if you DON'T own a gun. Is that correct?

Some dudes like fat trucks. In the apocalypse fat chicks can live off their fat longer, and worse case is that you have more to eat. And even better, if they turn in to zombies, they can't run very fast.

it would be one thing if it wasnt so populated to begin with, but there are soooo many people on long island so it would be a hard thing to clear, or take control of.

It's nice with the Tdi. A spare starter, alternator, and fuel stop solenoid and you are all set. get yourself a nice ammo can and ground strap it to an earth rod and keep your goodies in there. Keep it topped up all the time as well as your Jerry cans, you got a one good shot to get out of dodge. I as well like to have oodles of ammo around. Still thinking about getting some flax jackets. But.... I bet a 22 would go through a defender.

a BB gun will go through those door panels, but it doesnt hurt to have some extra protection. i have Level four plates in my plate carrier.

Out of curiosity, what's everyone's favorite "zombie deterent"? CW says that a shotgun is the best, but I'm not a scattergun man. I keep a G20 in the Tuffy console and a G29 on the ankle loaded with a combo of 200 grain XTP's and homecast 210 grain lead. Got 'em stoked up to .41 Mag power. If the SHTF I've also got a 10mm AR-15 modified to use G20 mags....Three guns, same mag.

Mostly the AR and I love my XDM 9mm for a sidearm. Seems like high capacity and well placed shots is key. But funny thinking about it, I do believe a 22 would do the job just fine...if you just have to destroy the brain seems like a 22 could d the job. In general the AR is good for multiple scenarios. But I like my M1A for some more whop. Might be just me, but it seems capacity would be key.

I love my revolvers. S&W governor, hunter xl .357 mag, etc. great knock down but it seems like you will have the hardest time in any EOD scenario with the blitz rushes. So seems like as long as you can keep shooting you will have a good chance. No once you're camped in, could be different. No right or wrong, not going to be easy either way you find yourself in it.
