Is a NA 2.5 diesel miserably slow?

How slow is it? Reliability? Wouldnt be off road much...mostly around town and up to 70 mph or so.

The British army use them so reliability is very good. Cruising at 70 would be a push.

My 90 maxed out at about 60 or 65 and it was pretty slow. Ok for slow around town driving but not something I would want to drive on the highway.

You would want to put in something else to do what you are looking to do.

Having lived with a few of them, yes they are slow. I can just live with them at sea level but 3000ft and up they are horrid. In getting my 200tdi RRC I has become clear that my 2.5na diesel 90 needs a 200tdi in the worst way.
