Irma

Well boys and girls looks like Harvey's pissed off girlfriend has come looking for him. Seems at this point like she will be looking in South Florida. Not good. All depends on how fast (or slow) the next cold front heads south. Already long lines forming at propane/Home Depots/grocery stores. Good luck everyone!

Wow the track really changed in the last 12 hours. Fingers crossed that it stays off the east coast far enough to avoid too much damage and does not hit or get into the gulf.

Best wishes Raub, Martin and anyone else down that way

Well, out Key Largo house is scheduled for 120MPH winds and 27 foot waves. That means my first and second floors get it.

You read that correctly. 27 fucking feet.

We live at MM95! Getting out, and towing the Puma roller with me. Thank God Foley's is backlogged, 130 not here yet.

It is all just "stuff". Wife and I will be safe, friends and neighbors too. Still, it sucks. Think this one may take the house. Boat and jet skis are already gone in my mind.

We FL guys (and Houston!) will need a RURR of sheetrock, shingles and Romex!

Middle of last week I saw Irma as going to the SC, like Hugo did in 89. She's been tracking further and further west, first looking like Florida. Not just Andrew style, but the whole dang thing.
She's slipping further west and is likely to continue a little further. Not convinced due to steering currents that we'll see Katrina part 2, more the south western tip of Florida, then Western Fl panhandle/Alabama. Good compilation of Hurricane models here.

This map is my favorite. No use running if you are from So Fla. you'll just die tired.

Just raised to a Cat 5 in last few minutes.

Looking at these forecasts, Florida is doomed. Run now before anyone else does. If I lived in FL, think I'd own a big as Ram 2500 CTD with massive bed tank for extra range and trailer for my Defender...

WOW, if you are in her path, not much to do except leave, and take anything irreplaceable with you..

Thoughts and prayers to all in her path (we have family in Fort Myers we are reaching out to, and praying for)..
