Pry barred wifey's 6 out of her paws. It's a pretty darn nice...
Jealous I am.
The normal sized one is plenty big enough.

My contract is up in two weeks so I'm planning to upgrade then. I'm a destroyer of phones, currently on my 4th iPhone 5, so I'm most definitely getting a case. My friend has a company called Lunatik that makes some of the best cases available for iPhones. Here's their iPhone 6 line up.

I got a Lunatik for my wife's new Iphone. Transparent back side. Its a great case.

But if you are an Iphone destroyer, then there is nothing better than the Otterbox Defender.

I've used it and made my kids have it as well. All of our Iphones have survived four years of School, sports and abuse perfectly.

Have you seen the Taktik Extreme case? Nothing is more durable than that case. I've read testimonials where the phone survived a accidental drop while parachuting from several thousand feet and survived. Someone dropped it in freeway traffic and it survived. That's what I'm getting. And aesthetically the Otterbox designs are bit too lame looking for my taste.

He probably meant "for the money" - those Lunatik cases get pretty expensive if you're outfitting all of your kids with one.

Lunatic is a good name given the $130 cost.
Ottterbox defenders for the 4 range from $20 to $35.

If cheap is what you are looking for there are endless options.

There is a product for every price point.

Hadn't planned to move on from my 5, but, I still had my old 4 that was doing iPod-duty, ended up popping by the store yesterday a bit before noon, traded in the 4; had a gray 64 in stock, left w/ it... Nice phone...

I used to buy cases. Otterbox, lifeproof but then just started paying 99$ for AppleCare+ and I now just get a new phone if it dies.

I have AppleCare. It's $50 each time until your 4th replacement then it's $275. I've spend $425 on replacing phones and I have Apple care. Time to get a case.

So I'm curious...as you get more and more into higher end photography...is your experience the same with that equipment?

Surprisingly, no. All my bad luck and fumbliness seems to be directed at the iPhone. It just so easily slip out of my hands and since the 6 is even more shaped like a soap bar I'm afraid it will get worse because there's no sharp edges to grip. I've smashed two screens, bent one and lost two to salt water. I'm generally not a fan of cases but until Apple comes out with a water proof phone with sapphire screen I'll have to use a case. iPhone 7?

Same experience here. 45 grand in camera gear and I'm never clumsy with it. But it doesn't get the 100x daily use my phone does. And it's all scheduled on my insurance too. That just proved to be very valuable last month.

iPhone 6 plus is prone to warping and breaking according to reports - some cases reported of this happening while still inside their pockets!
