I saw one in a 110 this weekend that was mounted to the passenger seat frame front bolt. It wasn't custom or anything. Store bought and perfect. I can ask the guy if you want it.

previous owner removed the ash-tray innards and routed a usb-cable into the back of it, that it plugged into an ipod dock. pretty cool - close ash tray and you see nothing, open it and there's an iphone dock ready to drop your phone into. amazingly stable during driving and great location for a gps app etc. i can post a pic tomorrow if you like.

edit: doh - nevermind, you said ipad... i thought you said ipod.. ignore.

I mounted my tablet using an otterbox defender case and industrial 3m velcro. The clip on part secures to the dash with velcro and the tablet portion clips in and out. Works great and I can swap it easily between the RRC and the buick.

Brandon, I wouldn't drill the dash or attach industrial strength velcro just to mount an iPad. The iPad is the technology of 2011 but a clean NAS dash will live on. I carry mine in my Tuffy box. If you have to use it while driving, get a ram mount.

I remembered seeing this on discoweb. I think the guy is a member on here too. Could always ask him about how he did it and make it work for your rover.

I use a mount from Joy Factory. Vibrates at idle (mounts to the passenger seat bolt at the front of the rail) but otherwise has been fine on the go and on trail.
