interesting trailer idea

I saw this and it looks like a cool idea. Rolling spare parts, keep the diff in for a spare.

Get a disco 1 for cheap, cut, bend the front frame together, fit some diamond plate, and Bob's your uncle.

Upgrades could include electric over hydraulic brake pump. remote door locks, who knows.
Could even mount the RTT on the trailer. (Pedro can put it in the back so it's easier to get on the ground)

I have seen this done with a couple of 110's 3 door trucks. They were cut @ the bulkhead, wind screen left in etc. Pretty easy to enclose done that way.

The 110 tub looks a lot more like a trailer to me than the 1/2 car that used to be a disco

I bet if Pedro had this he'd still sleep his roof top tent on the ground

I think it would be more entertaining, if that's what your going after, creating a trailer out of the front end of a Toyota Hilux, with the engine compartment as the cargo area, and the cab seats and dash removed. You could use snatch straps for safety chains.

Lighter too. Just way more expensive, which was Kraig's original point, not that he cares what anything costs...

You know, we saw an interesting twist on the RTT/GTT at The Wilds last weekend.
A CTTT or Car Trailer Top Tent.
Yes, that is Randy's Disco and towrig with trailer but he is not the CTTT camper...
