interesting SA '97 D90 FS in MD

"This 1997 South African Land Rover 90 was rebuilt onto a 1989 LR Range Rover Chassis / drive line. It's currently titled (clear) in MD and insured. Air Conditioning, Automatic, , XM radio, AM/FM/Tape, new tires, new NRP stainless exhaust, rear light guards, rear spare mount, mud flaps, steel 'wolf' wheels (not alloys like photo), tinting, rear work lights, H4 conversion, Hella 500's on brush bar, NAS rear bumper, trailer lighting harness, OME HD springs, Bilsteins, and much more, roll-up windows, mud-uk seat track extensions. VERY CLEAN, MUST SEE. Comes with roof rack, soft top with all attachments, and pickup top. All services performed recently. ~52,000 original miles on the body, 77,000 miles on the drive line. Recent MD State inspection, as-is. Comfy and reliable. Moved on to a larger 4x4."

If it is already registered in Md, shouldn't be a problem to register after transfer. Unless some Inspection station gives you a hard time. I'm guessing it is registered as an '89 Range Rover. Not sure how legal it is though...

the inspection is what would be killer, as you know it's near impossible to find a place that will let you slide on anything. If you say its an 89 rangerover, then they will be looking for seat belts to be in the same place, and other specs, boom automatic failure

I stopped by land rover today... they had a decked out 93 110 that I wanted to see. I overhead another guy telling the sales girl that he had just come back from Africa and wanted to import a 110. He said his buddy just shipped one over and was going to ship another one.

I could see those being crushed...
