In Search of Jon Winningham

Hello!

I'm attempting to help some SI owners locate a member of this forum by the name of Jon Winningham.

I have sent a message through his member page here but thought I'd better check to see if anyone knows if he is still around. Per his stats he hasn't participated since May 2013;

If anyone knows where he is, or has contact info for him, I'd appreciate it.

It is in regard to the 'Flat Land Rover Society' as well as a member of that club by the name of Bill Bruce.

Thanks!

Hi Larry. Sadly I cannot help with getting in touch with Jon but what I can tell you is that he moved to Arizona a few years back and is no longer in the Kansas City area. So you might have luck with members of the AZ Land Rover club perhaps. I live in Kansas City and have been involved in the Flatland Rover society since it's inception. What do you need help with? I know Bill Bruce as well but have not seen or talked to him in many years. Last I heard he was still in Wichita, Kansas.

Thanks - I'll check with that club.

I'm trying to reach him to see if he has any contact info for Bill Bruce. I'm trying to help a couple of guys find him. They are building a contact list of SI owners and Bill has several I guess.

What's really weird is the guy supposedly lives in Wichita KS about 20 miles from me yet I've never heard of him and no one in the 4x4 world I know around here has.

AFAIK I own the oldest Rover in the area - a '63 SIIa 88 SW.

So you're really in search of Bill Bruce, not Jon then, right? Do you know Kermit Krantz? I'd bet Kermit knows a bunch of the good 'ol boys around those parts. Lindan Auto in Merriam, KS would be another good contact point for local knowledge.

Linked in shows a Jon Winningham formerly of Kansas now in Scottsdale AZ. He even lists the Kansas LR club as his contact page....

----edited employee info----

Yup - looking for Bill Bruce. Whenever I tried to do an online search for Bill and the Flat Land Rover Society Jon kept popping up as the group owner/administrator so I figured if anyone had Bill's contact info he would.

Nope - don't know Kermit, is he on here?

I can check with Lindan Auto...are they a Land Rover shop?

Thanks!

That's him.

I've tried to contact him through Linked but haven't heard anything back yet.

There is also two links to the Rover club but they both go to a page in the Far East.

Let's not get crazy here. I'm sure Jon appreciates his privacy as much as the next guy.

I do appreciate my privacy, thanks Josh.
I may even make a surprise return very soon.

Sorry, I do not have contact info for Bill. I meet him a few times many years ago.

I was in KC for the first time in 4 years in September. I went to Tyler's shop, but he was not there. I saw him a few hours later on Shawnee Parkway in his 90-110.

I have been very busy the last few years, what have I missed?

Hey Jon! Sorry I missed you when you were here.

Yes Larry Bill Bruce at one time had a slew of Series trucks including a Series I 107. I have an idea how to find him. I will try that and let you know.
