Question In house Tile question

We just had our whole house tiled and it looks really great.
my question is , is there a way to make it look a bit more glossy!?
Has anyone heard about glazing tile and what is involved!?
Is there anything in stores like a topical shine for tile!?

The "glazing" of tile is something done at the time of manufacture when the tile are fired, so that's out. There is, however, a plethora of tile sealers that will give you anything from a natural finish to a semigloss to a high sheen. Most of the high gloss sealers are acrylic based, its the easiest way to have a high enough solid content to have the sealer remain on the surface. The people who installed your tile, or a tile company, should be able to recommend a good quality sealer. I have also seen semi gloss and gloss sealers at home depot type stores.

Something to consider: High gloss sealers can be very slick for wet bare feet. Also, any sealer that stays on top of your tile is prone to scratching, so you may be resealing to maintain the appearance you want.

I hope this helps.

By the way, how did your hubby's shoulder surgery go? Well I hope!

If you can, be sure that the grout haze is cleaned off. It will make the floor look dull if it isn't. You can try the "haze removers" also at Lowes/Home Depot. Be sure it is clean before you put a sealer on.
