That URL has only existed for a year. Surprised Land Rovers lawyers haven't shut it down.
Have you run it by the OVLR crew?

I posted a similar question on OVLR via Facebook a few mins before I posted this thread. I've received some advice, but no feedback/experiences yet.

I'm wondering the same thing. Did you find out anything worth sharing?

Why go with an unknown when you have Uncle Doug, Riverhouse, global landrover with proven track records?

We have shipped several trucks into Canada without a problem, shipped at least 200 trucks into the US in the past 10 yrs. Italy is tricky, make sure you get the original Italian docs from their DMV.

I did actually. I ended up dealing with a guy named Chris Wallans from Import and Sales of Land Rover Defenders in Canada - Import Land Rover Defender to Canada who purchased a 2001 D90 TD5 in Italy for me and delivered it to my door. It wasn't cheap, but all the risk was assumed by Chris right up to the day he dropped it off.

I had done a lot of research and I had read FAR too many horror stories about problems other people had with importing a vehicle themselves. Even my defender had some issues during the import process due to the hurricane cancelling the initial departure date. If I was doing it myself I can't even imagine the headache of having to deal with that in person. Luckily Chris took care of the whole thing.

Before he purchased the vehicle on my behalf we had a video conference of the per-inspection and he highlighted all the quirks/issues the vehicle had. Chris even had a mechanic in Italy do a preliminary safety inspection/minor repairs for far cheaper than I could've had the work done here to ensure that it would be easier to pass safety once I took possession.

The vehicle arrived in great shape and passed inspection with almost zero issues (the shop passed it, but it needed a new washer fluid pump).

I've put about 500km's on it so far and I couldn't be happier.
