importing saudi spec 110 from Canada with*

I am looking to purchase another 1985 Defender 110 from Canada but there is an issue that may or may not be a deal breaker. This Defender was imported properly from U.A.E in 2013 but was never registered or titled. A few months ago, it was sold to another Canadian and the uab title was signed over and a bill of sale was also signed. That was good enough for Canada but still needs to pass their "mot." So, it currently has importation documents, a signed over title from uae and a bill of sale. I contacted US customs and they said they required a bill of sale and a title that has been signed over. Is this good enough? I don't want to drive up there, purchase it, and then find out I can't import it. Btw, the customs person I spoke with didn't know all of the guidelines for importation from Canada. Hopefully someone knows here. Thank you.

The part of this I don't like, is that it's never been titled in the sellers name. The title and BOS are in different names, which is a red flag to me.
What makes you think you can import a car younger than 25 years old anyway?

I would contact Uncle Douglas here on the forum he imported my 110 and I would not recommend importing a Defender without him. He will answer all your questions no bullshit.

Sorry I missed your post earlier. I would have chimed in. I imported a Saudi 110 just about two years ago now.

When I imported mine, it was the day they were running around the country confiscating other people's Rovers because, hey, why not. So I was nervous. And even though I had very complete paperwork, I do not have a VIN on the frame because it was galvanized. I have a receipt for the galvanization, and all other numbers on the truck matched. However, they didn't even look at the truck. Didn't even look out the window.

Looks like you have another nice one to add to your fleet? Congrats!

By the way... it looks like it has lever vents? But also the AC grill?

I am not sure about the vent covers . They don't look factory but they are stationary due to the ac. It does have the similar dash to the nas 110. I also have very little history on it so I wouldn't know if it was at said rallye in February. Importing through b.c. canada is a very painless process.
