Importing a Rover from the UK

Hello All,
I have seen that this subject has been discussed to death within our forum, but I am not looking to do the importation myself (as I don't have the expertise or the time to learn the process) but rather find someone who can potentially check out a 1998 vehicle in Northern England, handle the transport and importation and provide me with a clear State title so I can register/title in NYS. While doing some research on the topic, www.zombiemotors.com come up. Has anyone had any dealings good/bad with this business? Also I would be interested to see if anyone within our Group has worked with anyone who handles this type of "turn-key" service.

1998 or 1988, c.f. 25 year rule. If I were to import another, I would go with Doug C.

I'd be willing to fly out and do the inspection for a fee, but can't import.

Hello All, I wanted to drop everyone an "update" with my question earlier...As some members have replied to me, about my potential vehicle from 1998, this would not come across the pond. I thought this "25 yr import exemption" only applied to Defenders and since my interest was for a Range Rover...I would be OK.....But I now understand, that the "Import Exemption" applies to any vehicle unless categorized as "special/unique". So it looks like I will be spending my time to find a "stateside" P38 that I can add a 200tdi or cummins to for a "daily driver"....Thank you again for the assistance and support.... Darrell

Just to make sure you know, the Range Rover P38 was fitted from the factory with a BMW 2.5 BMW diesel, not the Land Rover 200/300tdi. It was designated the "DSE".
