A similar situation happened on the Canadian market with Land-Cruisers. The Canadian market cruisers sold by Toyota from the late 70s to mid 80s were very rare and desireable due to limited numbers (further dwindling due to rust). Then, the Japanese Domestic Market started dumping RHD used stuff on the Canadian market, and we started seeing super clean low mileage diesel cruisers appear, mostly imported by dealers. At first they were selling for crazy prices, then the prices came down, and now the market is basically saturated and some trucks that were originally sold for crazy money are for sale at significantly lower prices, and the bottom has dropped out for CDN market cruisers. I make no predictions on what will happen with the Land-Rovers, but it will be interesting to watch.
