According to the ad it is a manual transmission.
Pretty uncommon truck to molest.

Pretty common on large Texas ranches. @ The 74 Ranch they used to take us to the dove fields in trucks with three rows of seats like that. The idea is the hunter sits on the bench seat and holds his firearm. You don't hunt from the truck but it is a convenient way to transport hunters and gear to and from the fields.
Purpose built not for on road use. They are copies from the horse drawn wagons that used to be used in Georgia for quail hunts.

My recollection is that purpose built trucks were what gave the Land Rover company traction in the post war marketplace and catapulted the company to its current stature.

Cheaper than a side by side and better positioning for hunters to scope the area. Agree with Crown and Doug - wouldn't say it's a Rover that sucks and actually when in use is a Rover that's pretty sick.

I've seen set ups like this for hog hunting as well. Same process as Doug described. There is a picture of a Classic used as a hog hunting platform somewhere on the interweb.

Passed to me by Tony, here's a good candidate for this treatment-if you can fix the starter magnesium.

Had the stater magnesium go on mine. Tracked it down to a defective flux capacitor.

Does one use the unobtainium to fix the magnesium?
