They used to sell rovers "knocked down" or actual kits to far off nations... back in the day. Id love to see any pics of the crates or assembly process etc...

That would be great, but 1/4 of the nuts and bolts would be missing, the instructions would be in diagram only, and the car would break down as soon as you started to drive it.

I would end up with 1/4 of the nuts and bolts left over

It is not that hard to take apart and put back together a land rover.

I used to always tell my friends that if they left their defender at my house for more than a couple weeks, when they returned they would end up picking up a pile of boxes rather than a truck.

You can strip a defender close to how that car looks in a weekend with two people and air tools.

can't be Ikea... if it was it would:

a) NOT be called a "kit"
b) be called the "Kearlaza lumphrea" or something similar but with accents over half the vouls
b) pack flat (or nearly)
c) come with a pictorial only instructions for assembly
d) be entirely assembled using an allen wrench

yea... been to Ikea a few times...

About 6 1/2 hours actually..with air tools,...and without any " refreshment" breaks
