My 'rents on the north shore of Long Island lost power Sunday, they're not being told it may not be back until this weekend at the earliest. Lots of trees down by them too.

The screen on one of our windows blew off. There are branches in the yard.

Power has been out since Saturday evening doesn't look like it will be on anytime soon. Cable went out after the storm was past -wtf is up with that. For now internet is laptop @ starbucks a couple miles further away from the bay.
Glad it was a non-event for many.

Dont undermine the storm, it was really bad for a lot of people. Eastern NC got hit bad, the footage Ive seen from VT has been really depressing. On top of all the shit that went on this weekend we've had some bad thunderstorms and tornado's roll through WTF.

Not so nice in Amityville. We won't have power for a while and the 90 is at a friends house since I can't get it to my house with this tree blocking the only way to it. Basement flooded and stuff we thought would be ok is not. Other pic is my backyard underwater.

Good news is I am amazed how dry the defender was inside after the storm. Those vent seals passed the hurricane test. Glad it wasn't at home during the hurricane.

Agreed. Those of us that didn't get affected should just feel lucky!

It was had some of the strong wind I've seen. More than Floyd or Fran. We sat on the back porch watching trees fall over in the field. The attached pic is when I decided it would be best to move the 90 to higher ground.

Check out this link. Some how this boat ended up balanced on someone's dock. I think who ever built this dock needs more work.

Unfortunately there are lots of lines and water pump hoses across the path and would destroy the lawn. Going under is an option but not worth the risk.

Thanks for the link. I guess they are "assessing" the situation.

We've called LIPA and the town. My next door neighbors are over 90 and have medical issues as well as another on a respirator further down. We are supposedly on a high priority list. We'll see where that gets me.

Cable might have gone out like that cause there is a battery in the cable box to help with phone lines if you have that service I think.

Yup. You can run power to it and it should come back on or so my dad told me before the storm.
