This is Barry on the outside.

But on the inside,

I am NOT shocked it didn't sell. Well I am sure there is NOT a line of people willing to pay 95 or more for it. I bet the guy who bought the black one is ECSTATIC. If he just waited a few days he could have had the COMMON conniston with the white roof.

I herd the 3.9s do dyno less then advertised over the 4.0? I don't think it has to do with the weaker short block but maybe to the tuning and not having a distributorles ignition.

For me the black shows the worst on the Defender. In my opinion, it doesn't go nearly as well as other colors on the Defender.

Black might be a shit color. Not really the debate. Personally I wouldn't want it but that isn't the point. The point is because it isn't your standard defender color people want it.

Green is a good color. It is like potterybarn. It is nice and safe. It is for people too lazy to have taste.

Also thanks for explaining that I was being sarcastic. I am not sure everyone got it.

Every Black 97 ST I have seen for sale over the past 3-4 years seems to move very fast. I'm not sure what the highest price paid on a NAS D90 is but I would agree Black is the most popular overall. Personally my favorite color is Arles Blue .

I was going to come up with an imaginary list of how I thought the values should be ranked if for some reason their was an imaginary supply of trucks of all years and all colors with 2000 miles but there are just too many factors. Hella trucks, trucks with LRNA numbers, etc. I do think if someone pulled out a 94 black in mint shape with 2000 miles it might go for more than the 97. Only because of their being a 100 of them and the leather but who knows. I just know for low mileage trucks, 97s typically command the most and black being the top of that. I would go so far as to say the black 97 with low mileage is more valuable than any other 90 except the LE.

Really, is this the best you can do? At the very least run your comeback through a grammar checker.

It makes my robot heart happy you were crushed. Keep up the research. You are the go to expert on steering wheel pads and the superiority of the 4.0.

How did Barry become a robot? And how is that an insult?

Ohhhhh, I think I get it now, it's funny because he has the 3.9 chip instead of the 4.0!!!! HA!!!! You old outdated hunk of metal. Go compute elsewhere!

Now, really, what's more valuable, a new steering wheel or a white roof? Can someone with a 4.0 chip please compute that?

Holyshit imagine a black 97 sw with an alpine white roof and the stout 4.0. Now that would be collectible.

I either want to be the computer from war games (whopper) or the robot from a small wonder.

Robots don't have harts. I just had to keep correcting you over and over again like I have many times before in this tread. The only thing crushed is your ego.

You must be kidding. Your argument for it being worth more was crushed. The only thing you have any clue about is that less sw were made. The value and collectibility aspect escapes your brain.

I do like the white roof though. Nice touch for the conniston.

Oh hush side kick! Your not funnier then my Barry Bot! You are smarter though, you knew to buy a 97 instead a early production 94 like he did with all the old style left over rover short blocks and all.

Well he is an Asian robot so clearly better made.

I did research before I bought my truck and got exactly what I wanted. How much research did you do before you bought your truck?

Did you see it in an Eddie Baur catalog and squeal like a girl you had to have it?

Look don't lie to your self. Its done now and there is nothing you can do about it unless you sell yours and get the 97 blue like you should have. Of corase I researcher and found fast facts and new the last of the breed were the best! Even you know the prices are more for them!

Haha, I don't know much about Eddie Bauer (pissss check your spelling again) stuff. Never wore those type of clothes but it made me laugh my Barry Bot and your my tool for fun times!
