Great, now I have to buy a 3g S and a 110 so I can have that nifty home screen. What can I do with just my 90???? I'll tell the wife right away so she can prepare.

I have a 3G and its 3G reception is horrible. Pretty sure its a problem with my unit since I know like 5 of my friends here in town have the same model and I can be right next to them having the problem and they all are fine.

I get a good 3G signal here and love the GPS feature.

I don't want to jailbreak my phone as I have a developer license and don't want to take the risk of that interfering with submitting apps. But I should jailbreak the wife's for the hell of it - there is little true incentive for me other than tethering to be honest. And zero incentive to unlock now as I am locked in with ATT for a while.

I jailbroke mine in order to tether and then the next update wiped it all off and honestly I was glad to have the jailbreak stuff off the phone. There were too many opportunities for malicious code to affect the phone for my liking. Besides tomorrow the iphone 3.0 software comes out and tethering is part of the upgrade.

The tethering aspect of the update is not supported by AT&T. according to the apple website, tethering isn't supported in the US. would probably kill the sale of the air cards. I can tether my crackberry but Verizon charges like 15 additional per month to use the feature. dirtbags they are, the whole lot of em

AT&T claims MMS will be supported by the end of the summer.

Right. No interest in paying extra to tether when I'd use it so seldom. But it's one of those things that when you want it you really want it

Same thing here!

I'll have to wait on the 3.0 upgrade until the unlockers get the process down pat.

To be clear though, even with the 3.0 release they are different. Jailbroken phones can tether for free. "supported" tethering will cost you a monthly service fee.

I'm thinking of getting my wife the 3Gs since her contract is almost up with AT&T and her flip phone is falling apart. I refuse to switch from Verizon so no IPhone for me. We are a two company family that way when we travel we always have coverage.

Wired and talking to a friend of mine thats more of a techie than I am. Its not being talked about too much. But Apple and Verizon are supposedly in talks to bring it to Verizon. If it does happen I'll take one.

Got the iphone 3.0 update yesterday and after all the hype and anticipation it seems rather ho hum to me. I am glad to have it but it was a bit anticlimactic.
