Identify these racks and sliders

Who made these racks and these sliders?

Except for the stupid Puma hoods and plastic intakes and the trailers, these trucks are totally bitchin'.

Those roof racks look like genuine land rover expedition racks.

Rock sliders more difficult. Could be Safari Equip rock sliders with but in jacking point.

Chris,

I did a pretty exhaustive search a year or so ago looking for that Genuine G4 rack and couldn't find any US distributors. Unless Safety Devices changed their distributor, I don't think much has changed regarding its availability.

In the UK, Devon 4x4 stocked them when I inquired last year. FOB UK though, it's kind of cost prohibitive.

I'm guessing Mantec on the sliders.

Good luck.

The rack is the genuine g4 style rack. The SD version is nicer and can be bought at RN now. The sliders look like mantec

Interesting. I'm finding several different styles of "G4" rack.

First, here's the one on the NATO trucks that I just posted. If you look at the rack from the front or rear of the truck, you can see that the sides are basically vertical from the feet. That is, the basket sits directly over the feet:

Here's another "G4 rack", this one on what appears to be an actual G4 race truck. This rack uses different feet, much like the gutter-mounted SD racks made for SW trucks. The basket, however, is narrower than the stance of the feet. The sides of the rack slant inwards to meet the narrower basket profile:

So...which is which? If I had to guess, the G4 truck has a genuine SD G4 rack and the NATO truck has something else.

Which style do RN and Devon sell?

I'm looking for the rack on the NATO truck, by the way. It's definitely not a Genuine G4 rack. It may have been influenced by the G4 style but it's different.

It looks like it would be a really tight fit on a ribbed roof. All the pics seem to be on smooth roofs.

edit:

I think I found the source. Looks like a Land Rover product with part number VPLDR0064

Winner, winner, chicken dinner.

Who makes this rack and does anybody sell them in the US?
Um yes…

It is the current LR / TerraFirma rack (comes in either box, both have the same LR part number and LR stickers/instructions)

For less than you think - especially if you don't have to ship it in the USA.
