Icon 4x4 Fire Extinguisher

I saw an Icon FJ44 this weekend. Holy shit! Its a great looking truck. I doubt if in this life I will ever be able to own one. It did have a kick ass fire extinguisher. See images attached. Does anyone know who makes this and the mount.......... or is this custom like everything else on these trucks?
thanks

You can get similar mounts from off road speed shops. Most of them use pipe clamps to hold the bottle to the mount and there are mounts made from billets as well.

Typical auto racing stuff. OG Racing has a nice selection:

Thats kinda neat and it looks better than a quick fist! I'm surprised Wolf hasn't made anything like that mount.

I guess I'm old school. I want my fire extinguisher to LOOK like a fire extinguisher, not part of the floor.

You're right, I like the red extinguisher, but the mount is a good idea. I could just see someone breaking into the truck for it though...not good.

I think the safecraft one sprays crap that won't melt wires. Can't remember the differences in compounds that come out of extinguishers right now.

Halon is great for explosive hazards (silos/vaults) but I wouldn't carry it in my vehicle due to it's very toxic nature (I've known people to accidently inhale it and have lost pulmonary function both short and long term). If you want to avoid the sodium bicarb mess just carry a CO2.

I'm going to get one of these into my '97 SW this weekend. I'm just trying to figure out where the hell to mount it.

http://www.h3rperformance.com/hg250r.htm

Of course, I could mount 2 smaller extinguishers in the engine bay (pointing at the usual suspects) with an extension wire into the cabin.

Mine is behind the cubby, that the exact unit that I have. It comes with a dual strap stamped steel mount

The "paint" is the same proprietary powder coat (Teflon) they paint the truck with. Those are likely pics of my truck that just sold.

I wasn't a fan of coloring it the same as the truck. When I had it I switched it out for the same one in red. Nice contrast.

Ward may be willing to sell you the extinguisher as a "part". Might be pricey but he is fair.

The truck I saw this weekend was in Colorado Springs. I was surprised by how big it was. It sat real high, pushing maybe 7.5 feet before the rack. The details are clean and simple but just ooze quality. I would love to see what he can do with a defender.

Why did you sell yours?

I would love to see what he can do with a defender.

I have wondered why he hasn't yet. He has done most other 4WD's. I imagine it would be very nice.
