I have a better appreciation after watching the video. I am not a hater--but a lot of the mods I am not a fan of. Everything he did, however, seems well thought out and nice. I wish I had his shop/resources... I like that he is living his dream. go him.

X3. What I don't get is why they ditched the front portion of the cage and then put fixed windshield mounts on?

Artistic, as are all their trucks. I too Wonder why they did not carry the "cage" forward to the windscreen. If it is stupid fast I would want a substantial cage around me.
For the right buyer it is pretty. I prefer the stock version.

From the video it sounds as if he wasn't real enthused (sp?) to do the project, or is it just me?

All it takes is a different windshield mount (hinged like ROW trucks) and no front hoop. So you'd want to buy a non-NAS truck if that's the goal.

I have nothing against non-NAS trucks, but the cage is what makes them unique, so I have no idea why you'd start with a NAS truck and then replace the cage without allowing the windshield to fold down.

Easily remedied I guess.

I really can't get over how much I hate this truck, it looks so bad. Also, I don't understand why you would use a Dana 60 with 33" tires. Some FZJ80 axles would have probably been a better choice.

Watch for this thing to show up on eBay within 6 months. Someone that silly gets bored easily and will move on.

Unless he planned on cutting up the rear axle to offset the D60, using 80 series axles would not have worked all that well.

I guess I was thinking along the lines of using an LT230. 80 series axles have almost the same offset as Rover axles, I have them under my RRC. I would think a Dana 60 with 33" tires would have very little ground clearance.

Yeah, if they kept the 230 then the 80 axles would have been perfect. I agree that 60s with 33s is a little overkill unless it is running high HP and low gearing. If its a 4:1 box and 400+ hp, there is no way that I would be running anything less than a 60, if I had the choice. That is all assuming that that gearing will ever come into play offroad, which we all know it will not.
