I usually don't post sightings but I had on on the Gaza Strip, aka Ventura Blvd

Check this out, so I'm driving to 24hr fittness in Sherman Oaks on Ventura Blvd and Sepulveda when low and behold I see this crazy ass yellow One ton 110 at the red light in front of me and so I have to see what the hell is going on, I pull up to claim my set with a gang sign and say "what up my niggahs? Two swedish guys go "halo" and they scope out my D90, which is obviously very different from their Euro spec 110. I ask where they are going and they just keep staring at my truck smiling and give me this business card which has this link.
http://www.einmalumdiewelt.ch/v8-power/

They say to check them out and I did but its all in Swedish so whatever, mabye I'll catch a glance of their yellow truck in LRO sometime. Anyway shit was funny. Peace out.

Neil

Yeah they speak their own version of German afaik. I think a real German would tell you its NOT German, but google seems to think it's more German than Swedish

Although I should say I think they are Swiss, not Swedes

I guess they're on a round-the-world trek. If they stuck to their itinerary they are about half way through:

"We want to travel at the end about 50 Countries.
Start in Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Turkey, Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tadzhikistan, Kirgistan, China, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, East Timor, Australia, Alaska, Canada, USA, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, (may be Cuba, Santo Domingo, Puerto Rico, Jamaica), Venezuela, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Chile, Uruguay, Holland, Germany, back to Switzerland
This is the route we wish to do, but it depends on weather, political situation, prices and many other reasons which can change and are not calculable."

haha funny, I blew them away at the light, guess their shit was heavy. Not that it was a race but it would of been nice to check out their truck now when I think about it, but then again pumping my glutes was more important.

Correct,
Swiss German isnt the same as German-German (aka High German/Hoch Deutsch), its close and has many common words/phrases but its a bit more related to older dialects of German.

Similar to Afrikaans being related to colonial era Dutch. - sorry to go off on a tangent

I'd LOVE do do something like this someday. I wonder why they didn't go diesel.
