I saw 2 97-110 tdis at the auction this week

guys, saw 2 grey market 110's at an auto auction i attended this week. guy wanted 50k for a green one with 85k and 70k for a white one with 40's. i wish i had pictures but they were nice!

I would fake being DOT and seize them on the spot.

You can save him the 100k fine per and drive them at your liesure for offroad use only.

40's as in 40,000 miles +-. they did not sell. he brought them back to Mass.

Those TDIs sounded really smooth!

Sounds like most people that try to sell grey-market 110s: they go on fishing expeditions to try and find a schmo willing to part with NAS money for one. Bottom line in my opinion is that grey market trucks are worth the value in parts, which although perhaps substantial (easily 20k+), is never 50-60k.
