I need new Defender body parts

I need to buy a new galv frame, bulkhead, tub & wings ect. I was wondering if I should order from the UK or George RN ect. THE best price would help but won't be a deal breaker. Also who has the best frames??

Short of a factory frame that has been galvanized the DAP chassis is the best fitting and is what we use on NAS V8 90s. We have worked with their UK supplier at length to make small changes to make them as perfect as possible. They work very well and are far superior to the others (as far as fit and no BS) and we have tried them all.

ECR is not a parts source. We are not in the mail order business.

I'm not sure about how the pricing works out with currency fluctuations and shipping, but anything I couldn't source directly from the local dealer I bought from George and was extremely happy with. Prices were very good, and so was shipping (both price and timeliness). I know you can get most of the body parts for the same or less in the UK, but the shipping may kill you. I would price everything from them first, then call George and see as shipping will certainly be a lot cheaper from him, and he doesn't have much online compared to his inventory, so if you don't see it that doesn't mean he doesn't have it.

You want to check around with different places for prices and availablity.

My list is (in order):

1. Mike at LR West Chester (he bought out a big chunk of LR Classic Parts when LRNA shut that down and is a former co-worker who is local to me and is able to get things from multiple UK sources in addition to searching the US dealer network)
2. George at RDS
3. Roversnorth
4. Eric at AB

Only when all three are really expensive do I go outside the list.

Ron

PS Safarirover also seems to have some good deals (ie 240 for the t-pieces).
