This doesn't really answer your question but I really like the round PIAA LED lights because they don't look like all the light bars the Toyota and jeep guys have. I have yet to see them in person so I have no idea how they stack up.

Thanks to the feedback - I like the round PIAA LEDs a lot. Price is sporty tho, especially compared to the halogens.

I like the 520s, used them on a BMW GS, nice to know Amazon has replacement lenses. Have a set of 1200s ion driving off my Interceptor that needs a replacement lens.

PIAA makes a decent light.
I have some PIAAs that I bought in 1993 and they are still in great shape-- moved them on/off 3 different trucks and I could use them again now if I wanted.

And I agree with the above poster; I hate all these giant LED bars on every off road vehicle.(ugh)

Are they normally listed as having CREE LEDs?

^this... I understand people wanting name brand and quality, but I've had no problems with my knockoff bar with Cree lights. Could buy 8 of them for the same price as the name brand.

Reality is none of us are trekking through Amazonian jungles or the China/Pakistan border. Cheap is fine for most of us even those that have the cash to drop on Rigid. It reminds me of putting lipstick on a pig. Failure is not that likely and replacement is reasonable. CREE is the only option I'd choose though. Most manufacturers seem to be using current limiting circuits so burnout is seldom an issue these days.
