I like it. - although I'm not a huge fan of the baseball style stitching (what's that called & do you get kicked in the junk for talking about stitching on this forum?)

I love those wheels. Anyone know where those come from? The article says they are 18 inch steels.

The Recaro A8's look comfy.. A friend had them in his Audi and they were the best seats to take a road with lots of twisties in..

I'm just wondering if I could fit that bulkhead and dash in my S111? and a set of the seats would sit well in my 90....

I guess the thing I really don't like about these kinds of trucks is that they are just bolt on jobs.

I don't mind prettiness, but there's a lack of engineering.

I would love to see one with a really clean portal axle install. Or a rock crawler version with insane articulation.

JE Engineering and they are alloys and expensive.

http://portal.jeengineering.co.uk/de...s-a-tyres.html

They also have a partnership with Startech so I'd say that's the rim.

Agreed. So they molded a new grill and put in LED lights. some wheels and running boards. Cliche electronics package. And these guys are the "tuners"? If they wanted a real throwback they would strip it down a bit, find the true heritage, keep it nice but make it for the rough stuff. Maybe do a 2 door 110 with real load carrying. Or a pickup version. Something different. Why buy this when you could just get a RangeRover that does a 200% better job at being plush?

Entreq is a terrible fucking company. Will sit on your money for months before shipping stuff. I understand places that do small runs of custom stuff, but thats got to be mentioned up front. AVOID.

Not sure which I despise more, the Sony branded seats and playstation, or those awful side mirrors....

Cool! Thanks, Matthew. Actually, yeah they are expensive but about par for limited production alloys. I have always wondered if someone would make an alloy modular-look wheel, and now I know! Adding those to my wish list ...

Oh and if Santa is listening, I'd like that TDV6 Defender on the JE site. Mmmmmm ...

Reminds me of when I was working at a Starbucks right after grad school.

An old woman came through the drive-through in a brand-new 2003 G500.

I asked her how she liked it. She said she hated it because the doors sounded "cheap" when they closed.

And that is exactly who is going to buy this sort of thing, what they will do with it, and what they will complain about when they drive it.
