I'm sorry to see it got bad for you guys up north and I hope it drains off quickly. It was a non-event for me - not a single downed tree or sight of standing water in a 13 mile drive to work.

Yep, not a single downed tree and didn't even lose power here. Sounds like you guys north of us caught the brunt of it.

No flooding for me as I'm on high ground in the middle of Aquidneck island, but lots of giant trees down from the big winds. Thankfully, they all fell either into the woods or into my yard. No damage to the house, garage or Landies! One huge one fell within about 8-10 feet of the trucks, however.

I lost power a couple times yesterday afternoon and then it finally kicked off and stayed out around 6PM last night. estimating it should be restored by Thursday so I have the generator cranking to keep the kids happy with cartoons this morning!

Prepared for the worst, but nothing happened. That's a good thing. Still don't know what the next few days will be like on the Bay. All the schmidt from the entire Chesapeake watershed will be flowing into the Bay. Trees, Mountain Dew bottles, basketballs, plastic bags; your basic Tsunami debris. Add the high water and mud and you have a pretty awful stew.

Hundreds of old trees down (on top of cars and houses) in our small town. The levies broke where I work so it will be interesting when I get back there tomorrow. A few my my neighbors lost roofs and cars..

Its nuts seeing this up north. We are used to it down here. The water come and goes pretty fast. This is why I don't have a house on the ocean on the outer banks.

You guys stay safe.

Got thru the night - lots of trees and limbs down but nothing onto the house thank God. No power and water is going out. Estimate 3 weeks of cleanup and areas in town are much worse. Hope everyone is safe. Will upload pics when I have a chance. Going to fire up the saws and get some work done.

My town looks like a warzone, power crews from Georgia pulled onto my street as I went to work, lots of power crews from all over in my town, NY did not have the same enthusiasm towards cleanup as we drove trough.

I'm at work today. Essential. I had leave yesterday, so I stayed home to comfort the girl and the cats. Down town is a ghost town. No lunch places open.

Downtown Philadelphia is fine for the most part. Made it in to work but its a ghost town. Trees here and there down but we got lucky. I never lost power or cable.

The damage is insane. I just saw a picture of an LR4 that was crushed by a tree. Will post it in a second.

My mom in Bergen County has no power and there is no time frame for when it will be restored. In this time of crisis I like to look at the positive, I don't see Horsey logged in. No useless posts for a few hours. Now if we could only get the hurricane to hit Auburn, CA.

The only crisis going on in the Auburn CA area is a distinct lack of stone-washed jeans and half-shirts at the local Sears.
