My parents live on the river. Last year during Irene the water didn't even come over there dock.
Now the water is over the bulkhead and the storm isn't even here yet!

There place is pretty high up from there but the water is definetly gonna be higher thn w have seen I think.

I was just down the road looking at ocean in asbury and I sure doe look mean!
I'm more inland. Bout 3/4 mile from the river. Right now it's breezy but not too bad. I'm sure it will get bad in the next 12-24hrs. If your parents need any help by all means let me know as I'm right here

I don't think I can shoot the flying tree branches around here.

Just finished a 5 day, 13 hour a day shift on a marina construction project in the Indian River in Ft. Pierce, Fl on the East Coast. Friday was really snotty on a 21 foot boat in 50 - 60 mph winds. Fun times.

CL&P, how long were you out for during those storms?

Aw crap. Only being tickled by Sandy in Mass, but looks like she'll be playing in our backyard all week.

UIL here. We were out for 8 days with Irene.

Same issue with Fairfield in terms of tree trimming. Went out after Irene and saw 29 lines down and a windsurfer on the 18th fairway at Fairfield Country Club.

Wow - you actually went in to work huh?

I am lucky I guess....flights were all cancelled today/tomorrow. I need to be in Atlanta, and will be there for the next 2 weeks, until the 9th. Just got to figure out how to get there now.

The base is closed today, so I was told to work from home. Except I can't work from home because all of our work is on darknet.

So I am taking a vacation day. Or two

Time to work on the truck!!!

LOL.

I had time last weekend so I threw on the hard top because it was convenient, despite the weather generally being still quite mild here. So I am glad now I was proactive.

I am forced to wear business casual here, so no flip flops either.

What was it that you called me for putting the soft top on and taking the surrey off the 90?

Things will be the worst tonight. We are still 8-16 hours away from the worst depending on where you are.
