Tested the essential systems. Generator, sump pump, and battery backup sump pump. Go figure the backup system is two years old and its battery is dead, trickle charger and all. Guess the Defender battery will my backup's backup. LOL

Oops wish I had seen this last night... Could have put you up for a while -at least until you were ready to hit the road. Hopefully you're well on you're way now.

My cans didn't even blow over. Lame. Got one good gust to blow a puff of smoke back down the chimney though.

Hey bossman are you close to the navasink in red bank?
My parents live on the river. Last year during Irene the water didn't even come over there dock.
Now the water is over the bulkhead and the storm isn't even here yet!

There place is pretty high up from there but the water is definetly gonna be higher thn w have seen I think.

I was just down the road looking at ocean in asbury and I sure doe look mean!

A Few Pics...

As promised...

This first is the Avon/Belmar inlet around 2:30 PM today.

The next is some fun graffiti from the locals.

The last is the same inlet around 5:30 PM tonight.

The album is here.

Don't worry, VDOT (Virginia Department of Transportation) is already sending plow trucks out and salting the roads I'm sure. Mainly because they're idiots.
