Glad to hear that Raub.

The eye will be closest to us right at high tide.. afraid we might have a massive surge.. if water comes over our dunes its going to be a huge mess.

So good that its off shore. Hoping the next high tide doesn't propel a ton of water towards the FL/SC border area.

wow. That is bad that it came on land at high tide as well. Hopefully it will just stay skimming the coast.

Looks like the eye has come on shore just south of Hilton Head http://radar.weather.gov/ridge/lite/NCR/CLX_loop.gif

This is going to make a mess of these low lying areas. Hurricane Hugo came on shore in the same area.

Watching the Today show on NBC just now, and a weather correspondent in Charleston was reporting live on the streets of downtown Charleston. No cars anywhere, then what rolls by right behind the reporter? A white 5-door.....

My mother's Yaris in Charleston. See what happens when you buy green? Should've bought a gas guzzling mustang like every other female Ma.

It's a mess here in SC.......lost power about 6:00 this morning and I'm not optimistic I will get it back soon. There are trees down everywhere, I was lucky and have no real damage.

The rest of the state got hammered, lost houses, 95 is shut down, etc.....
