Sounds like VA is the Wild West redneck haven
I would think the biggest problem in Co. is the "out of state" hunters...Tejas is the "wild west of redneck hunters"...you'd stand a better chance of getting a citation for not shooting at something....(I jest of course...well kinda)

This happened a few years ago. Our property had been vacant for quite a few years. I posted signs and caught a number of these fine up standing jerkoffs and advised them to stay off the property. They went off quoting the codes set forth by the state. Again..advised them to stand down.
When they didn't listen, an ak with a 25 round clip met them crossing my pasture. I stopped the truck...told them to vacate said pos...and start walking. A crap load of chest thumping and a cell call to the OCSO and advised them of what I had done....on a Sunday afternoon. A wildlife officer met me that evening and advised I was well within my rights (pasture=cows/horses etc) and the boys where sighted into court. I held the property until they where escorted back...after court by the wild life officer. They paid a fine to the court, and a storage fee assigned by the judge. Needless to say...it hasn't happened again. The commonwealth is all about farm animals/horses and there is a line that you just don't cross.
