Has any one used the unique H1 system under a ROVER body?

No Lockers

The D90 did not have lockers, he was running on open diffs, thus only 2 wheel drive. The H1 Hummers have auto locking diffs that lock-up so all four tires are rotating.

I would like to see that hummer try tighter trails and turns.

man i can't imagine how much hubs that could air up and down tires would cost on a rover... also that obstacle was suited better for a longer wheel based vehicle... i'm not saying the hummer is a bad vehicle, it's actaully very impressive.

regardless of the wheel base, that guy driving just looks lame... feel quite insulted we should be confisicating his truck and giving it to someone who can drive. A defender should have crawled it with no issues

Jeese,

It's just wheelbase people. Thats it. Hummers are good for some things, terrible at others.

I agree, that was the ideal obstacle for the hummer. Not that that is a bad thing.

You beat him up, I'll take the truck. I promise to beat it to hell and I can wheel.

That's pretty funny and yet very true. I finally get to use this smiley on something. That guys driving was

I drive/ride hummers in the military, and they are very capable, and have their own set of disadvantages. I can tell you from experience, that I spent MANY times driving in Iraq on patrol, and as we are rolling down the highway in our armored hummers, I'm thinking in my head "I wish I was in my Rover right now". Everything we did over there would be just as easily accomplished by the rovers, but a HELL of a lot more comfortable.

If you think your Defender isn't comfortable, try riding in an H1 or military hummer. There's a downside to having a suspension that can allow air dropping. And they are maintenance DOGS!

Oh ya, and the defender has more legroom!
