Saw this Series truck on eBay and thought I'd share. Without a doubt this thing is AWESOME!

"This great Land Rover has upgraded to the 265hp fuel injected GM 4.1L engine, allowing the car to easily travel at highway speeds"

What is up with these used car salesmen? That carbureted hunk of iron is good for 120hp and 215 ft-lbs, tops.

Lol....yep. That's hilarious.....Do you think they take a class on how to sell cars that they have no idea what they are talking about...lol.

Regardless of the salesman though......The truck is sweet!

Why does the top hinge at the wrong end? Makes no sense.

uhh, i don't see a V8 in there. I also don't get the idea of a pop top with double side bench seats. It needs to be a camper conversion in the camp to work with that. And I do not like the dash either. They should have kept it original. Does look nice on the outside though.

I don't know what the reserve is, but this is a vehicle that purists and collectors will spend money on, so keeping it true to original is important. All this bespoke stuff is best left for a ROW 110, which has much better roadmanner relative to a 109.

Looks like an x-panda pop top or a copy thereof.

inline 6 ...250 or 292… i had one in a 109 pickup and it did move it along pretty well. ruined the dash I'm my opinion..nothing like a clean metal dash.

Thinking 100% carbureted stateside for that block until their demise in the late 70s. However, I believe Brazil kept pumping these blocks out through the 90s and during the final years did offer it with fuel injection. Here you go:

It's got a offenhauser 5416 intake manifold on it. Looks like its got a TBI system grafted onto it. Plugs coming off the side under the air filter look to be TBI items..

The switch bank is hideous, at least put a iron goat or something in there so it appears factory

I think the word Defender itself adds $15k to a vehicle. I'm think I'm going to call mine a Defenderscovery when I sell it....

So by calling it a Defender - Defender it is almost priceless.

The tent top is awesome. Only one I have ever seen that does not change the roof line of the truck when closed.

Otherwise, it has minimal appeal. I will take the tent top and the fit and finish level, but would need the galvy trim, original pant color, original wheels, and steel dash...
