Hey Dave! That looks to be a subwoffer for the rear door. If I remember right they are like $400 new from the dealer and depending on the condition I have seen them go for around $150 to $250 IIRC

Jim thats why you put a sub on it! The noise comming from it should be enough to cover up all the rattles. You didn't think ROver was really trying to improve sound quality in a Defender?

I have a factory sub in my 90, and I think it rounds out the sound quite nicely with the top off and with my fastback on. The one pictured has an aftermarket sub in what appears to be the factory enclosure.

I took it off my truck when I installed my shrockwork rear tire carrier. I replaced the sub with a kicker cvr8. Its been sitting in my garage for the past seven months. I don't know if its worth it to sale it and fabing a new one or not.

Yousef,

You got a new rover - is this a new development or have I had my head in my ass and missed it somewhere.

No, this morning I got a call from the seller and he took my offer. He is taking it to the dealer on Wed for inspection, and then we'll go from there. It's a 97 black ST with hardtop, ARB, winch, and OME lift. This is exactly what I wanted.

Great Yousef, I thought we had lost you to the dark side.

I think the black looks cool as long as it doesn't see any trails here in CO. The D90 will be my DD and the Disco will be my trail rig.
