How many of you still cary a Maglite in your vehicle?

I'm curious how many of you still carry a Maglite (D cell version) in your vehicle, and if you do, why do you prefer it over some of the other tactical or LED lights that are so popular these days?

Also, what version do you have, 2D, 3D, 4D, 6D?

I prefer my head mounted led flashlight to anything hand held.

that would be the reason I do as well ... I don't need 'tactical' crap in my car ... I just need a torch ... I have a 4D Maglite with LED bulb.

I don't. I have an iPhone, which is enough light for me to do most roadside repairs.

I thought a classic D-Cell Mag Lite was only used as a club substitute to administer beatings?
They actually light things up?

I bought a bunch of cheap led headlamps. Much easier to have two hands available.

I have 1-2 in every vehicle. Hands free so you can beat your Rover when it craps out.

D-Cell - x2 - one is fine and mounted int he back as a spare. One is toast, the batteries leaked and I can't open it, it resides beside my seat and is my "pacifier" if required

6D maglite; it holds up against the elements well, its bright, and has some weight behind it.

Headlamp(s) and a surefire; got rid of the big maglite a long time ago.
...but like others I also have first aid kit(s), and other stuff in the truck. Living by the adage 'we prepare so we don't end up at the Superdome'

Who doesn't have headlamps. Those are almost the best invention ever. I can't get thru a power outage without them, plus they light up all the cat's eyeballs like ray guns. Makes working on the underbelly of the truck almost a pleasurable experience. Almost.
Still cary (sic) my Mag Lite tho...

My 7D Maglite from back in the '80's finally gave up the ghost. It was about as long and heavy as a Hi-Lift jack handle. I like the headlamps these days - it makes it easier to do stuff in the dark and drink beer at the same time.

Knowing the crowd here, there is probably some tactical headlamp that is in flavor these days. All the better when administering a headbutt.

In lieu hauling around an expired multiple D cell mag, try a section of 535MCM cable. You will not look back.
