i have a surefire head light in my toolbox in the Defender, it's brightness is adjustable. I carry a very bright surefire (1000 Lumens) in my pocket all the time, so it's with me even when the truck is not.

I have a D Mag Light in my basement near the fuse box, I used to carry it in the truck, but now with the smaller surefire with me, it isn't necessary.

3 D cell with LED bulb in the LR3.
2 D cell with LED bulb in the D90.

I agree that a head lamp is handy, but sometimes a maglite is better.

I have a 3D with 5W Led and an x-cape cap in the 90 tucked into the door catch to bulkhead bracket, out of sight but in reach, also carry a mini mag with 3w led and tail switch for work.

I also have lots of other cheap ROC made led lamps but prefer the mags, the LED's give nice light right up to last dregs of battery.

seasons greetings to all
