I have a 4D mounted next to my seat on the seat box which I primarily use for hippie control.

I have 3 in the 110, and 2 each in my other rovers. Mix of led, regular and mag charger. Wouldn't be without them.....

Gave up the maglite. Pelican M6 flashlight and a Petzl Tactikka XP have taken its place in my home/truck. Strongly recommend looking at the Pelican flashlights over the surefire... more bang for your buck, and my pelicans have given NO issues, whereas I have had constant issues with my surefire (Aviator model).

BTW, I've managed to keep the same tactikka XP headlamp since 2007 -- multiple deployments, field exercises, schools and personal camping trips/use as well. For such a small electronic device, thats quite a testament that it is still kicking and that I love it enough to treat it like a sensitive item.

In other news... I found a picture of this warrior wearing a tactikka headlamp that was too 'good' not to share. Can't believe this guy isn't a meme yet.

I have 6-8 of these in various lengths. When the switch dies I send them back to maglite and they fix them and send them back. They have a lifetime warranty.

6D, 3D , two AA led minimags and a rechargeable maglite. Love the rechargeable, same length as a 3D but brighter than a 6D.

I have both headlamps and maglights (3D), but honestly don't see myself using a maglight for anything but a blunt object as long as the headlamps have batteries.

Someone had a 3D in (or should I say on) their vehicle. I noticed it in the middle of an on ramp one night. I did not even have to get out of the car for this treasure, just hit the brakes opened the door and picked it up. Worked perfect. As my wife says "I pay more attention to what's around me than I do to the road itself". I am sure a new thread could be started to discuss what we have picked up in the road. Of course parts from your own truck would not count.

A 4D mag lived between the drivers seat and cubby box in my D for ten years, never had an issue with it.

I'll never give up my D cell Mag lite. It may not be the brightest thing out there but it's reliable and none of the tacticool ones can be used to level an asshole that desperately deserves it.

Same here. One in front & one in the rear. A couple years ago I switched them over to LED lamps. Brighter & uses less power. They have been in the truck for over decade ready at hand. Functional & dependable.

No need to kick it up a notch, with the Mag lite I can call my shots like I'm Babe Ruth
