How is this not headline news?

worst invasive species possible. I guess a Trex roaming San Diego wouldn't be news either.

That's more of a global epidemic, not just FL.

wait till a saltie shows up, then its game over. I don't think Apex predator comes near enough to describe it.

True. Childhood friend of mine was eaten by one about 6 years ago while snorkeling along a coral reef in India. The resort that sent her and her bf off with the gear and the local authorities initially alleged the boyfriend had likely something to do with her disappearance rather than admit saltwater crocs had been known to frequent the area.

I think the ones in Aus are on steroids! Every summer, all the visitors, basically Pommies, come to the NT and the chicks get their kit off to plunge in these pristine creeks even when there are big signs showing "do not swim, crocs here" and BAMM, they disappear Hope to never see one, I have heard they are longer than a 130!!!

Would have to tell me twice. I've heard of boat motors being found in the stomachs of Aussie crocs.

I saw a full size nile croc in Botswana. I also saw a full size Salty at the Brisbane zoo. that one had a walkway over the pen so I could look down on it. after elephants, it was the biggest land animal I've ever seen. it was the complete Jurrasic Park experience. easily as long as a 130.

Its national news all right.

If there are two caught, there are twenty out there. There will be thousands within five years. Their breeding habits and ability to overcome environmental obstacles are legendary.

They've been spotted once in a blue moon for a few years now. Not a good sign they've become more frequent. Perhaps the crocs will eradicate all the pythons?

give them another 20 years to grow and they'll eradicate the alligators and tourists as well.

Makes one kind of glad you live in an area that gets down around 0 f a couple nights a year, so this kind of crap
won't come this far North.

I got lit up by fire ants 2 weeks ago while weed eating @ our place on the Carolina coast, another dangerous invasive specie. 60-80 bites in 30-40 seconds.

They will just hibernate. A lot of species are suppose to move onto warmer climes when it gets cold but if the food is good they will stick around.
