And.... no mention of how blatantly illegal it is in the US.

Item location: Orlando, FL

However...the photos show other Puma defenders in the background so it's possible the photos are taken in Germany. Lies?

I bet you a beer it's "not available for viewing". There isn't a non-sketch puma in the US.

You're wrong about that. One sold on eBay in Oregon not too long ago and it was legit. There are several that are somehow registered legally as what they are. No one is going to chime in, but there are people on the board with Pumas.

There's a few import records attached to the phone number listed on the ad:
http://www.importgenius.com/importers/terrence-warner
http://www.importgenius.com/importers/ms-julie-hossain

Pretty sure I see what looks like a european tag on a car in the background of the first photo.

If I were a zillionaire, then I would buy it if:

1. It were going into a collection and never going to be driven.
2. I didn't care about residual value (I wasn't going to attempt to resell it as long as I was alive.)
3. It was imported under box 8 or box 10 of the HS7.

I could see how a case could be made for legitimate sale if the ebay seller is the importer of the vehicle, and the sale occurs as part of the standard liquidation of import.

The Blaser.. its a TDi 110. with the new interior, some stickers on the outside, "bespoke" stitching on the leather steering wheel, a winch, and a gun case.

Not that enticing imho, for 95k.

Not a tdi but rather a tdci. Completely different. The 2.2 is a Ford Duratorq common rail computer controled diesel that was new for the 2012 model year.

I am sure it is one of those things, you call and they tell you they will build you a truck to spec things like the other big sellers on eBay.

Looks like marketing and nothing more

Okay – I had to call to hear the scheme. So here is the story. This dude has a “family” member who is an employee of LR Europe. This “family” member is importing the rig through a manufacturers’ exemption (he initially said “scheme” – I am not joking, but then clarified exemption. ESL student for sure, so it might be a honest transposing of the words). His “family” member will clear the rig through the Port of Newark (NJ) then the vehicle will be hauled down to Orlando, but they can redirect to the purchaser. It will not be titled. That will be up to the owner. He said titling will be no problem except for CA. The DMV will come out and match the VIN in two or three places, and whala, you have a titled 2012 Defender 110. Yea, right.
