hotel in Montreal

hi all,

i need some ideas / help for a good hotel in montreal for F1 weekend.

younger crowd
kind of near st Catherine / or old montreal / or near F1 stuff as we will walk and cab it.
i have stayed at hotel 10 - that was a little or hip and LOUD for us.
i stayed at fancy place last year and hated it!
sounds like the ritz is already sold out.
anyone stay at the W there?

thanks!

weekend june 5-8th.

Le Centre Sheraton Montreal (0.1 km from St Catherine )

I am showing rates of 550.00 CND for 1 room 2 adults

The W or Le Meridien are nice as well ( W = 760.00 | LM = 500.00

I've always stayed at Hotel St-Denis on Rue Saint-Denis for F1 weekends. It's a block from Berri-UQAM which gets you to the track in only a couple of minutes. It's not going to impress anyone, but it's a fine enough place to rest your head for a couple of hours.

Ha! I should have figured with the we went fancy last year and hated it but damn the ritz is already booked comment. Are you going with the wife or with dudes? I don't sleep much when I'm there for F1, so just a place to rest my head for a few hours (i.e. nothing fancy) is usually fine for me.

Have you considered Airbnb? Probably some nice apartments for rent.

The QE was the best as it sits on the train lines right out the track....its no longer as much fun as they close St Catherine down to traffic...

We used to cruise out to little Italy for a Ferrari meet up...

Unfortunately now all the hotels are booked up with ticket package brokers...
