I wouldn't know him from Adam. Who's Adam by the way?

When Bill Cox first joined, he immediately drew nothing but hate from everyone.......immediately, from like the first post.
I very diplomatically suggested that people cut him some slack.
Bill then began his downward spiral of asshattery with his comments.
I felt like I had to wipe the egg off my face for vouching for him.

Will, you're obviously a man of impeccable reproach, so I respectfully say that if you want to vouch for him, knock yourself out.

I'm all set with him. I'm not on here to pick fights or bully anyone so I'll back off (aside from an occasional well-earned barb like the one above), but he is not someone we really need around here based on what I've heard (read).
Glad he helped you out though.

I would be very careful Will. Mr. Cox has done some very bad things to a lot of people in the community. Much more than is known on these forums.

Thank you sir, I appreciate your response. Please know that my intention was not to single you out. Rather, your comment stirred up a sense of moral obligation on my part. And, now I've put it out there.

To be clear though, my asking for leniency on Mr. Cox's part should not be construed as an endorsement on my part. I cannot say that I have ever bought anything from Mr. Cox, so I cannot vouch for him or for the product he sells.

You all may take this for what you will. Thanks again.

Tread VERY carefully.

Gentleman, I understand your concerns. Please know that these various events have not been lost upon me, I am very much aware of them. Doug and I are in regular contact (we actually met in person yesterday) and he is aware of my communication with Mr. Cox. He and I have spoken and the information which Mr. Cox has provided me with. There is no doubt that Doug has been highly instrumental in my defense of this case. It would be extremely difficult to do so without him, so trust me when I say that I have not approached the subject in an unguarded manner.

With this all being said, any further comments on this matter should be made in light of my post above.

Oh, and let's let LRNA decide if you ever see your truck again. Sounds appropriate, legal and fair according to you.

Cheers,

Well... even if it was a 2014, its outfitted like a 1987, not the other way round. The engine is over 25 and the emissions... my god- the emissions... they should make these old engines illegal.
Its unwieldy government or anarchy...as long as we have lawyers to stir people up and keep people from working together. The first thing we can do is try to ensure that we don't elect any lawyers to any office at all.

You realize that Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, and Abraham Lincoln were lawyers, right?

So maybe the last couple of lawyers who were elected to the office have sucked, but there have been some good ones.

We have a saying in IT that the business gets the IT dept they deserve. If they under fund it then they get crappy computers ... If they don't engage about what they want to do they they can't complain when products get delivered that they don't like.

It's like driving a car and complaining about the traffic ... You are the traffic!

Bottom line is that you have the government you deserve ... This is your government running your country, elected by the laws and process you all created. Alienating and calling out individual groups to blame is a very dangerous path to take.

If you don't like what's going on you should start to fix it by taking a long hard look in the mirror.

This is good to see. I wonder how far this change in policy will reach?
