I wish I got up that early. I get off of work at 1:30AM. Hence, I tend to sleep until 9 or 10.
Someone has to close the airport down every night. And that be me.

DVR it... Or drag your VHS Recorder and dust it off, plug it and set it up...

Thank you for the updates Will. You are doing great and congratulations on being able to schedule a second meeting so quickly.

My favorite part of the interview shared between WBTV and Mr. Brinkley was when the interviewer pointed out that he may 'be out' all of the money invested, and in response Bill nods in agreement but says,"And the vehicle." It's not always just about the money. He misses his rover.

Good for you Jennifer Brinkley. Thank you! You are going to be representing not only yourself and husband in your next interview, you will be representing all Land Rover enthusiasts and lovers. Go get em' Jen!!!

"All the dude ever wanted was his hunk of junk truck back"....and for DannyBoyUpstate it happened - today!

Danny is a great guy for those of you who don't know him, and truly deserved the tide to turn in his favor as it did today when DHS returned his 110 back to him - thanks to Will's quick & unbelievably good work! I thought I'd share some of the reunion pics below, and a few of the earlier quotes from Danny to put things into context:

It was parked at my fathers house about 15 minutes from where I live. It is registered to my home address not my fathers. My poor mother with cancer and my old man who is laid off had ~ 10 Homeland Security officers banging on their door screaming at them if they had any weapons at 8AM on a Tuesday.

I spoke with the agent over the phone who wouldn't tell me his first name. He says I have to meet him at his office and have some type of interview and maybe I will get the vehicle back. He also tells me that the 110 is a model year 2000. I told him to LOOK AT IT AND TELL ME IT'S A 2000. He said that's not for him to judge. It's a 1983 Land Rover 110. End of story.

I am the 3rd US owner and the truck is titled in NYS. I have all the importing paperwork assuming it is legit. I will report back what happens.

They say that the entire case revolves around Aaron Richardet illegally importing Land Rover Defenders. They asked me a bunch of questions about him, but I am the 3rd owner (?) of the vehicle and had nothing to do with the importing.

They also say they are working directly with Land Rover and that's how they know my truck is a 2000 and not a 1983. It is clearly not a 2000.

They tell me my only recourse to get the truck back is to file a claim with the courts in North Carolina proving that I am the owner of the truck, that I know that it's a 1983, and that I didn't know anything about illegal importation.

I feel as though my truck is in the crossfire here because of some other unscrupulous things that this guy had done.

I want my hunk of junk back.

Congrats on the truck getting back to you! Thanks, Will!

BTW, I can see why they thought your truck might be a 2012 frame swap... HA! Kidding! Awesome truck!

Great story and pics. It would be nice if Fox could include some of these stills into their broadcast today. Pure joy here.
